Senior Vice President, Operations
Rob McCulloch is Senior Vice President, Operations, working closely with our Associates and Team Leaders to support the tremendous efforts of those working to provide solutions for our clients.
Mr. McCulloch joined ConferenceDirect in May of 2014 after fifteen years with Marriott, Renaissance, and Ritz-Carlton. He started in 1999 at The Mayflower Hotel, in Washington, DC. During his six years at the property, Mr. McCulloch was promoted several times, and covered all segments and markets in the industry.
Mr. McCulloch moved to the Ritz-Carlton brand in 2005, becoming the Director of Group Sales at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner where he led the Group team to their best year in the history of the hotel.
In 2007, he was promoted to the Area Director of Sales position in Baltimore, managing a team of twenty sales managers, selling two properties (the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, and the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor). This was Marriott’s largest multi-property team in the country, responsible for selling 1,200 rooms between the two properties. The team had its most productive years in the history of the multi-property organizational structure.
At the end of 2008, Mr. McCulloch was promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing for the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront (Marriott’s largest hotel in Maryland at the time).
After two and a half successful years in position, Mr. McCulloch was promoted to lead the largest Area Sales Team in Maryland, proactively managing over 500 accounts transacting business globally across all of Marriott’s brands.
In 2012, Mr. McCulloch was promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing for the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown hotel. The 807 room property had one of its best years ever in 2013 under Mr. McCulloch’s leadership.
During Mr. McCulloch’s career with Marriott he was nominated for, or recipient of, several awards, including Property Sales Leader and Property Sales Team of the Year.
Mr. McCulloch earned his Bachelors of Science from Virginia Tech, and currently resides just outside of Washington, DC in Vienna, VA with his wife, three children, and their dog “Friday”.
