Diversity & Inclusion

ConferenceDirect promotes diversity and inclusion. We have developed associate councils that focus on communication, training and inclusion of minorities within the hospitality industry. ConferenceDirect has also joined the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) as a certified LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE). The LGBTBE certification provides businesses opportunities to build relationships with America’s leading corporations, generate prospective business and client leads, and collectively team with each other to enhance LGBT business’ visibility.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

ConferenceDirect offers our customers the various options to integrate CSR into their meetings and events. As part of our Preferred Supplier Program, ConferenceDirect has partnered with organizations such as Clean the World as a CSR agency to recommend to our customers for meetings and events. CSR aims to assist groups in contributing to societal goals of a philanthropic, activist, or charitable nature.

Sustainability & Green Meetings

Sustainability is a major focus at ConferenceDirect. We have implemented green meetings protocols into our internal events. We have a specialized team of our conference managers that have been certified via the Events Industry Council in their Sustainable Events Program Certificate, SEPC. We have partners that can assist in also tracking of your carbon footprint and also purchase carbon offsets to do a full carbon neutral event.

Human Trafficking Awareness

ConferenceDirect has partnered with ECPAT-USA and signed the Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct. As a socially responsible company, ConferenceDirect is committed to combatting commercial sexual exploitation of children. The company stands firm in our resolve to create awareness of sex trafficking of children by utilizing our professional resources in the travel and tourism industry. Additionally, the Human Trafficking Committee of ConferenceDirect meets monthly to discuss opportunities to inform and engage our Associates, Partners and Customers.

Associate Councils

ConferenceDirect has a group of Associate Councils as part of our CD Caring & Connecting initiative. These councils meet periodically to help raise awareness internally and externally to our partners and customers. The current councils are: Human Trafficking, Wellness, Sustainability, Black Associate Council, Club Pride, Internations (CD International Associates in the US), International (International CD Associates), YP 40 (Young associates at CD), and Women@CD.

Veterans@CD

ConferenceDirect’s Veteran resource group operates with the core values of integrity, community, commitment, advocacy, respect and excellence. We engage with active duty, reservist, veterans, their families, survivors and other allies to increase representation, recruitment and retention of veterans both within ConferenceDirect, but also with our industry as a whole.
